A new ballot initiative is obtaining signatures in, Oregon IP28. My issue is with some of the individuals who are collecting the signatures and are omitting some of the things that IP28 will prohibit. They are putting it forward as stopping cruelty to animals through hunting and fishing but not mentioning the farm/ranching components. Among things that will be prohibited is private individuals from keeping chickens for meat production. If you are artificially inseminating your animals, you will be guilty of sexual assault and have to probably register as a sex offender. It essentially will prevent locally produced meat being available. The economic impact could be staggering.
