We may have had this conversation before, but I couldn't find it.

Phenology... It's an early spring. I found a couple buttercup already flowering. Some henbit is starting to discolor and fade. Really early for that. Sunchokes are sprouting!

These are somewhat frost tolerant. Freezes kill them. They can get to 18 inches high at maturity. They go to seed and expire as the true heat of summer arrives.
