Hi everyone! I'm new to this site...I've visited a few times before but finally decided to join. Anyway, as the title says, I'm looking for a wwoofing or intern opportunity this summer, preferably on an organic farm.
I currently reside in Jamaica, in the Caribbean, however there aren't many organic farms here so I decided to seek that knowledge elsewhere. I would prefer to visit areas in the southern-most states of the US since it is cheaper on my travel expenses. However, if a great opportunity comes up elsewhere I may be open to taking it as well.
A little about myself: I love to cook and bake and occasionally I like to draw and paint as well. I also have a passion for health and fitness and like to do yoga. I like to be active and prefer to spend most of my time outdoors.
As a volunteer/intern or wwoofer, I hope to partake in activities that may involve organic farming or any other form of food production and distribution. However, if there is anything else I could do to help, I would be happy to do so as I am open to learning as much as I can. I currently do not have any experience in farming but I have been successful in backyard gardening.
I would like to volunteer during the months of June-August. I may be able to stay until September as well. It would be great if I could be offered a stipend during my stay or the possibility of finding paid work but I can be flexible. I'm quite helpful and love to have fun! And I definitely would not mind sharing aspects of my culture with you as I learn about yours. Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you all soon!

Have you considered coming out to volunteer here at Paul Wheaton's place? Wheaton labs is in desperate need of artists and gardeners! If you don't mind the manual labor you can even earn some money (in your spare time) prepping wofati materials for deep roots folks. Much more information can be found on the gapper thread: https://permies.com/t/34633/labs/gappers

I realize Montana is nowhere near the gulf of mexico, but it may just be worth the trip.
