Buying soil in UK

Can anybody recommend soil to buy in UK? or mixes i can make?
I do make my own compost, but i don't have much space and i can't produce as much as i need.
I think in the long term i am going to buy manure and straw and make my own but i need some now and that will take a while to make.

I want to avoid the big companies, such as westland, miracle grow, etc.
I keep reading reviews of people finding plastics, glass, even shoes! i think because it is mostly green waste.

I did find a good compost (natural grower compost) but it can't be used alone, it needs to be mixed with top soil or something to be used in planters etc, so i would be happy with any suggestions for top soil or any mixes that would work well.

Any ideas? Thank you
