Hello everyone, we are looking to buy a place in Sweden and are wondering if anyone on here knows of anything that might not be on the conventional websites (like Hemnet). I've noticed some houses coming on the market now, but they have been empty for years, some in quite bad condition from neglect. Perhaps someone knows of a vacant place (or a place that someone wants to get rid of) in okay condition that might be possible to buy with an area of at least 2000 square metres. We want to try to grow as much of our own food as possible.
We have a wish list of course: that it's fairly close to a town with a train station and grocery store. We don't have a car and don't plan on getting one, but can bike, walk, take the bus. It would be nice if the house was built before 1940 and if it's close to a swimming lake, blueberry picking, mushrooms, and other wild foods, anywhere south of Gävle, or anywhere just a little north of Gävle, but no need to be in Skåne or Blekinge. Nothing against these places, just have never been.
Thank you for any tips/help!
