Hello Everyone,

Would like to introduce a brand new website for cold-climate homesteading: earthkeep.ca

Free planting zone calendar as well as a in-dpeth articles on greenhouses, seed starting and food forest.

And, most importantly: a comprehensive greenhouse planner for cold climates. Enter your postal code and get your design temperature, your degree-days, your frost depth, your winter sun angles — and a calculator that turns them into a heater size, a fuel bill, a bill of materials and an honest payback figure.

https://earthkeep.ca/greenhouse-planner/

What you get:
44 pages
The Guide
Every decision in build order, from siting through to what goes wrong. Not greenhouse theory — the part that comes after.

25 pages · 11 worksheets
The Workbook
Fillable worksheets you can print as often as you like. You will get the first two wrong, and that is the point of doing it on paper rather than in lumber.

226 live formulas
The Calculator
Opens in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice or Numbers. No account, no subscription. Enter your postal code; every downstream number follows.

6 cards
Field Cards
One page each, made to be printed, laminated and taken outside. Site walk, snow load, cut list, build day, spring ventilation, winter maintenance.

Thanks for taking a look!

Stop planting your orchard in the coldest place on your land.

A complete design system for homesteads where the ground freezes. It fixes the
order you make decisions in — read the site, find the warm band, then plant — and it ends
with nine drawings of your own property, not a reading list. 17 chapters, 83 sections,
341 cold-hardy species, 182 cited sources.

Could you hold this kitten for a sec? I need to adjust this tiny ad:
