Bill Mollison books?

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hello - I'm new to the forum and have been checking out permaculture for the past year and reading various books. I grew up in a greenhouse (my mom was a florist) and have been growing annuals fruits and veggies for the past 10 years with good success in zone 7. I'm very interested in Permaculture and am wondering,

Where do you find the original Bill Mollison books that aren't $100-$500 used?

Are there any plans to re-release these as mass paperbacks? (if there isn't, there should be a plan to).

I read a few of the more modern books by Ben Falk & Christopher Shein but want to read the originals as we are about to purchase property.

Any help please?

I think it is going to be hard to find copies of the Bill Mollison books that are not $100 and up used or new,

I do not know if there any plans to release the books again as mass paperbacks.

For non-book information by Bill Mollison, I think you might like his online lecture series, his talk on housing, and the Global Gardener series.

Thanks, I wonder why someone is not re-publishing the books? They seem so important to permaculture as a whole.

I am a frugal/skinflint kind of person and I have found "Permaculture: a Designer's Manual" to be worth the hundred bucks.

Go to your library. If they don't have them ask about the interlibrary loan. If unavailable through that, ask your librarian if they can purchase it. If they are reluctant, find just a few other people in town who might be interested in it. If you can find 4 other people willing to chip in $10 then surely the library will spring for the other half if 5 people have shown interest in the book! Easier than splitting the book among 5 people because you let the library take charge of tracking it.
