The 2014 Fuller Challenge for Socially Responsible Design - who would you choose?

So which one do you think is best?

I rather like Earth Roofs for the Sahel

And AskNature sounds like an amazing resource - "an immense, web-based interactive database, learning tool, and living Biomimicry encyclopedia, which seeks to catalog and propagate solutions to the most pressing human challenges by drawing from time-tested strategies evolved by nature."

But there are so many others too, such as International Youth Network for Food Security and Sovereignty, or the Bonobo Peace Forest , or Sistema Biobolsa and a whole of others.

I really do like the Earth Valt Roof Systems but think what took me most...and was very exciting to read about was the Biodigesters. These are going to become more important as fossil fuels are depleted, and we turn to alternatives. Biodigestion as part of heating, energy production, and waste management is a no brainer. The fact that "lobbyist" and the petroleum industries (as well as many HVAC contractors) have stood in the way of this really simple solution is rapidly coming to an end as DIYers and Permacultures just go out and "do it" with great results...

I predict that many Permaculture operations over the next 10 years will have these installed and operational as part of there HVAC, waste management, and energy production systems. I have designed and built two of them with good success and hope to facilitate more in the future, yet have never seen a system like the one you just shared!!!....IT IS outstanding in design and simplicity!
