Calyptocarpus vialis (Straggler daisy) aka horseherb  is native to Texas.

Horseherb is a shade tolerant ground cover from the daisy family and is usually found in woodlands and meadows.

Horseherb has the ability to form a dense mat that suppresses weeds.  It is also valued because it requires minimal maintenance once established.

It can be grown from cuttings so imply find stand of Horseherb and take some cuttings.
