On Monday we did a walkaway split from our best hive, the first time I have done it in the backyard hives. Opened it this morning for a quick peek and to add some more syrup and we have six cups with larvae and its only two days later. Have done this before in our bush hives where I cannot watch the process but I am surprised how quickly it happens now I can observe it in these hives.

Now to decide if I take one frame with cups and put it into a fresh nuc. Just how many hives do you need?? Silly question.

That is so lame! You now get a slap from this tiny ad!
