Comox Valley Permie Potluck

are there a lot of people into Permaculture in that area? It is a place I've considered living in and around. Any off grid permie communities up and running?

So far our meet-ups have been sparse. I am sure there are more of us out there, it is just a matter of connecting. No off-grid communities here. To many "departments of making you sad"

Too much in the way of government rules and regulations. that is the problem... I'm in Thunder Bay Ontario now...starting to look for where there are some permaculture groups growing/ thriving or under development. And your area was of particular interest to me....

I recall reading about that Kirk, And I do love the islands out there. It is a very special area for me. I have twice set the record for fastest time to paddle around Vancouver Island by sea kayak by the way.

I interviews Miles last year when I was with the "Edible Valley Podcast" he is an awesome guy. There community has disbanded and he is living in town now, as far as I know. Great book too by the way.

I did hear that there was an eco-village in the works for the area. I wish them well, not sure how it will go...
