Not just Solar generated electricity, but also solar heating systems, dehydrators, solar cookers and whatever else I am not thinking of.

White belt
Determine sun track through the year for a site
Locate best placement for photovoltaic panels on that site
Install a small solar powered device, such as an electric fence charger
Build a solar dehydrator and dry 10 pounds of fruits/vegetables
Build a solar cooker and prepare four meals with it

Green belt
Install a solar powered water heater
Install multiple photovoltaic panels hooked up to batteries and inverter (overlaps with electrical skill set)
