Happened upon this while doing some research and it blew me away. I though many people might find this helpful. It's a foot powered wheat thresher and seems to be made in the USA.
That looks like a pretty simple machine for the small grower. I assume that they switch sides regularly, and work the opposite leg. A wheelbarrow full of prepared bundles, could serve a one person operation.
The people appear to be Amish, but usually they don't want to be photographed or filmed.
Yeah, that's pretty cool. I also think it would not take as many people to run it as they had there - but they probably like to get the kids involved so as to develop a work ethic and be skilled.
Sounds like it had a bearing problem, but nothing that could be fixed (or maybe just cleaned & greased).
I'll have to search online to see if I can locate sales outlets. I'm not in the market for one of those just now, but it'd be interesting to know how much it sells for.

Oh, and by the way, a typo in my post above: I posted "Sounds like it had a bearing problem, but nothing that could be fixed (or maybe just cleaned & greased)." But my opinion was that it was nothing that 'could not' be fixed.
