My oil burner furnace has given up the ghost and has been replaced with a high efficiency propane heater. I'm left with about 80 gallons of fresh fuel oil which I'm told is essentially kerosene. I have a GMC pickup and Kubota tractor, both with diesel engines. Both engines will run on kerosene, so I'm told, but I've run across several references that say this fuel will ruin the fuel injectors as it lacks the proper lubricating properties.
Is it red or clear? If it is red, don't put it in your truck! The dye means you didn't pay road tax on it and it's a huge fine if caught.
You can mix it in with diesel for your tractor no problem. 50/50 should be safe as is, add a good diesel additive with extra injector lubricant if you want to run more kerosene than that.
