Newbie looking for an Opportunity!

Heya! I'm a 23yo SoCal native looking to learn first hand about sustainability. While I don't have tons of experience I have an abundance of enthusiasm, energy and a passion to learn.

Looking to work starting June, throughout the summer and maybe into fall. Willing to trade hours for board and/ or a small stipend.

Some of my interests include learning about homesteading, beekeeping, small scale organic farming and compost methods.

Morgan, most permies opportunities are not paid, meaning there's no stipend. Especially for a newby.

You would need a vehicle and your own income to come stay with us as we cannot afford to support someone. I am guessing that our stance is pretty common. Perhaps you can find something free on caretakers gazette.

Woofers also is about volunteer in exchange for room and board. You might consider getting a part time job wherever you land to continue to be able to fund your adventures into permaculture. We always host woofers who have an income of their own and a vehicle. Those are requirements to visit us.

Thank you for your informative reply. I do have my own means of transport and ample savings to get me through my first few months. Thanks for the tip about possibly requiring a part time job (I had considered it might be wise but didn't think too much on it.) Also, I do apologize if I came across as someone looking to live off a host, was definitely not my intention.
