Desert Ironwood - where to get seeds and will it grow where I am?

Hi, researching desert ironwood seems it is only known to grow in the Sonoran desert.

I'd like to try growing it here in the Canary Islands where we have temp range 8C to 45C. I'd be growing about 150 metres above sea level.
Biggest difference I can see with our climate is we have humidity even in summer. RH is almost always above 50%, often above 80%, due to being surrounded by sea.

Where can I get seeds? I've seen a few online vendors but their order forms always fall over when they encounter an international shipping address.

Check with the Desert Legume Project at the University of Arizona. They run a seed bank and give out free samples (it would be nice if you sent them a donation in return). If they balk at international shipping, I have some seeds I can share with you, send me a PM with your address.

It should grow well for you, I think it is a quirk of nature that it is not as widespread as its neighbors in the Southwest, the palo verde and mesquite species. It grows down into Baja California and Sonora and the areas close to the Sea of Cortez there are humid like where you are.

I wish to set up shop in Morocco, neighbor Was actually on La Gomera for 5 months in 2009 but that didn't work out unfortunately (i was quite ignorant back then).

As i have similar problems ordering, like you i'm in Europe, please let me know about good resources. Especially suppliers that don't demand a credit card (and of course will ship abroad).
