Hi Sergei - thanks for taking the time to answer questions in this forum, and welcome! I was wondering if you've eaten the nuts from CA bay laurel, and if so, how you'd recommend preparing them. Growing up in the Santa Cruz mountains, I've always been surrounded by these trees, and learned at an early age that the leaves make a tasty seasoning for soups, stews, and roasts - but I recently learned that the nuts are edible too! Have you eaten them, and are they worth trying? If so, what are your favorite ways to eat them? I know the squirrels must love them, as errant seedlings are always popping up all over my yard, but are they good people food too? Thank you!

Well shoot, I was hoping someone here had experience eating California Bay Laurel nuts! I guess I'll just have to do some googling and experiment a little....
