My name is Thane and I lead editorial at Outernet (http://outernet.is). I want to talk to you about getting some of the material from Permies to people around the world who cannot connect to the Internet (there are 4.2 billion such people). Currently, Outernet broadcasts 1 GB of free content per day. We call it "Humanity's Public Library" - a free data signal from space for everyone.

Essentially, the prompt is, "If you could give every human on Earth a 1 GB USB drive filled with content, what would you put on it?" We rely heavily on community suggestions for what to include in our library and someone suggested that we include your work. I am asking your permission to do so.

The request was specifically for your podcast, but I would love to have Paul (with the help of this community) collect some "essentials" for us to send.

Interested?

Hi thane,

great project. I think i remember seeing it on kickstarter a while back?

for the content, would you just want to share links? or would you want permies people to write up their own content (a response to that prompt you proposed) and submit it to you somehow?

Holly was looking awful sad. I gave her this tiny ad to cheer her up!
