Sean Gunn : If the feed was put up at an Animal feed plant here in the U.S. You
should be fine using the bags anyway you want ! "Safe" Soy Based inks have been
the standard here in the U.S. at least a couple of decades ! There is also a substantial amount of Kaolin clay added to the recycled Paper fiber when the bag is made.
This is to allow for crisp printing that doesn't 'run' or 'bleed' . This generally makes the bags hard to dispose of by burning, and may add a little more clay to your soils,
but not
enough to be a problem-I am not aware of any other issues . I would expect that several days of soaking will reduce your labor when you try to re-cycle them,
I Think you could open the bags to max size and use them for immediate ground cover, and then recycle them more better after they start to fall apart.
