This is a good idea nowadays

Downloaded that app weeks ago. Kills your battery and it's not always helpful. You have to compare the pictures or if not found you and everyone else can speculate on it's true identification

Yup. Though I haven't tried it, so I can't confirm or deny Matt's less-than-optimal experience.

Whew! I must say I don't know enough about either, let alone whether it's a good investment opportunity.

Maybe this thread could be about different plant ID apps and the user experiences, like Matt's with Pl@ntNet.
