I read "The Soil Will Save Us" over Christmas (Kristin Ohlson). I'd mentioned it as a possible
gift, and my dear wife purchased it for me and stuffed it in the stocking. It was entertaining, but not what I thought it would be. Written for a popular audience with pop science sprinkled in here and there, it wasn't anything I hadn't read on the interwebs or on this forum. Very light on soil science. So I WOULDN'T recommend that book.
"The rule of no realm is mine. But all worthy things that are in peril as the world now stands, these are my care. And for my part, I shall not wholly fail in my task if anything that passes through this night can still grow fairer or bear fruit and flower again in days to come. For I too am a steward. Did you not know?" Gandolf
