I think the dish shape is better than the bowl with steep sides in general for ponds.
Driving the cat over the dirt probably compacted it somewhat, maybe it will hold more water just because of that.


What was your source for bentonite?

Hey Peter Hartman, wondering how your pond has held up? I'm going to be putting in ponds soon, not too far north of you, similar soil, and wonder how your did with the heavy rains and flooding last spring.
Inquiring minds would LOVE an update!! :D
