Not sure how many live in Ohio, but the word is getting out that Scrapie is back on the rise in Ohio, so after a few years of seemingly the Federal Vets no longer caring about Scrapie; there is renewed emphasis on testing and quotas EVERYWHERE. I happened to have a sheep go down the other day and like all my sheep, had her tested for Scrapie. I am sure she will come back negative, but thought I would let other know who might be in Ohio; keep your flocks closed and test if you must. For others, just be warned that Scrapie is back on the radar for the Federal and State Vets again.

BTW: Scrapie affects both sheep and goats.
