I'm growing ashwagandha for the first time. I plan on harvesting the roots once Fall arrives, but am curious about what to do with the berries. They look edible, but I cannot find any literature that will confirm this. Anyone have any idea? Can they be dried for tinctures?

I know this is an old thread, but your question got me interested. So I did a little research.

Apparently the berries are seedy and even slightly bitter, so their best uses seem to be medicinally as an eye wash or for treating wounds or skin infections. Here are two websites with lots of information:
