I'd expect that unless the plastic was attached really well to a solid framework, and probably even then, the plastic will get shredded by the wind. Thorny blackberry stems will speed this up. Also, nails, staples, etc. will be potential tear points. The only thing that even sort of works on my hoop house is nailing lathe strips down to trap the plastic underneath. (And burying it, of course, on both sides of the structure. )
My backup plan is nylon window screen.
I am not sure it will work either,but it's tougher than greenhouse plastic,and not much more expensive.
Might be better anyway,due to ventilation.
This is for a fence line that is overgrown into a driveway.
I want to encourage growth but not deal with overgrowth.
I plan on hinging the panels so I can access that side for harvesting.
