I have created compost heaps 1.5M tall and about 10M long, I wish to spread the compost over degraded soil nearby.
I have in mind to purchase a stick rake to fit my tractor and pull, sweep it across in say 200mm layers.
Has anybody used this method or a better one? Thanks

I've used a tractor with no rear attachment. I use the front bucket to dump it. then i use the bucket to spread it by goING backwards with the bucket a couple inches above the ground

A manure spreader works the best for me.

Sometimes the answer is nothing

Thanks, I have large amounts and I tried the bucket approach and found it slow, mind you raking may also be slow, but I am looking for an improvement if its possible. I don't have such a spreader at the mo, but I am looking at building one over time
