Hello. I have a 20 year old strawbale insulated home that I purchased two years ago. I've noticed that some of the paint on the lower half of the exterior walls is flaking off. I'm guessing it is acrylic paint. What should I replace that paint with and how do I apply it when most of the acrylic paint is still on? I've heard a type of silicate paint is stretchy to cover the stucco, yet highly permeable to allow moisture to escape--is that the route to go? What brands, what cost, and where can I find it? Thank you
