Hi All,

I removed an existing fireplace insert from our hearth because it smelled like gasses every time we ran it.

The chimney still has a ~6" stainless steel pipe that runs down.

I am looking to build a rocket type stove using just fire brick & clay / cob mix.

Are there plans for that somewhere? Any ideas? I don't need instant heat, just looking to utilize the space effectively.

Thanks!

Have you built the stove?
Some years ago, on a rented apartment, i built a "regular" rocket stove in front of the fire place and put que flue pipe into the fireplace itself/chimeney.
