I have found this site very informative and intersting. I would like to ask some questions about hugelkulture beds.
I experiemented with these beds last year, but i don't think i put enough dirt on them.
About how many feet of dirt should go on top of the wood? And what should the slope of the mound be like? How do i keep the seeds from sliding off the mound?
well the beds that I put in I didn't put in FEET of soil, actually it was probably around a foot..on top of most of the beds and maybe a little more on another one..they worked out fine.

Bloom where you are planted.

once a living groundcover of plants is established the seed falling doesn't happen anymore. you can also plant bigger seeds like peas and beans the first year.
