Cordless
LED flood
lights by Milwaukee.
I don't work for a Milwaukee or have any commercial interest in their business. I am a very satisfied customer.
Milwaukee makes several flood lights that are just awesome. The octagonal model that I own, is the toughest of them, when it comes to impact and surviving other perils. They take standard Milwaukee batteries up to 5 amp hours. My big 9 amp hour batteries do not fit.
With the 5 amp hour battery, my light works for about 5 hours on the high setting which puts out 1500 lumens. It gives by far the most natural looking light that I have seen from an LED work light. On the lower setting, the battery lasts about twice as long. This setting is more than
enough for most of my indoor jobs. I have used it outside, to illuminate the entire building, when it is being moved off of the site, onto the road. The house moving company used to rent these great big flood lights on a trailer. They are expensive to rent and they are always in the way. On several jobs, we got by with just my Milwaukee and Makita lights.
This light can be stood on the floor or on a counter or chair. It can be set on its side so that the light can point sideways, straight up at the ceiling, or on an angle. It has a spot where it can be hung from a nail in the wall , and where it can be stood on a piece of half inch pipe , sticking out of the ground. I usually put it on an angle, so that it illuminates the entire ceiling. This gives good light without extreme shadows.
I'm very happy with every Milwaukee cordless item that I own. I no longer take an extension cord to work with me. I have cut several buildings completely in half, using the cordless Milwaukee circular saw and Sawzall. These lights, help greatly with that. Whenever a building is sliced, I go into the attic with my cordless
Ego blower, and blow any loose fill insulation into large banks, to leave a clear cutting and working area, completely devoid of insulating materials.
These lights, along with my other cordless tools, have made generators and extension cords completely unnecessary for me, except when I am breaking or cutting
concrete.
