I'll second this suggestion. Once it starts flowering in late summer it goes all the way to frost. Monarchs (and other pollinators) LOVE it. I grow it between more traditional sunflowers of various sizes. Mine gets about 8-9 feet high but maybe 5-6 in some areas.
