So my husband decided to go out and be my handy helper recently.  He was proudly listing all of the things that he had done outside and then finished by saying “And I got rid of that pile of weeds for you”.
“What pile of weeds?”
“The pile on the path behind the potting shed.”
“Those were mustard seeds.”
“Oh.”
Of course that followed with all kinds of apologies and rolling around in guilt.  I have more so it was not a big deal, and it was kind of cute actually.  Yesterday I went out and there on the path is a carpet of mustard seedlings so I will just put a little fence around it – mostly to mark it for him to see  .

If you don't keep the "better half" informed of projects/goals, their "help" can lead to disaster.  Have you ever had 10 pot plants ripped out because "they were taking over the yard."?  LOL

No, can't say that I have - but it wouldn't be out of the question after I retire.

oh the stories (husband with head injury weeds out all my stuff) ..but the worst was FIL with alzheimers that would mow down the baby trees and shrubs with a riding mower, even if they had a fence around them with stakes and flags !!
