Biography
We manage a 40 acre wildlife area of the Texas Hill Country in the Edwards Plateau at about 3030 ft above sea level. The region is notable for its karst topography and tall rugged hills of limestone. The terrain throughout the region is punctuated by a thin layer of topsoil and a large number of exposed rocks and boulders, making the region very dry and prone to flash flooding. Native vegetation in the region includes various yucca, prickly pear cactus, native grasses and wildflowers. The predominant trees in the region are Ashe Juniper, Shin Oak and Texas Live Oak. Soil is alkaline consisting of caliche and clay.

My suggestion would be to sweep up what is on the floor and put them in a mason jar for now. You can sift the dirt out of them before putting in the mason jar though dirt will not hurt them as long as they stay dry.

When you are able use your best guess as to what they are, then go ahead and plant them.

It sounds like you were drying them well though next time dry them a little longer if in doubt.

You can make paper envelopes to put the seeds in next time than place the seed packets in mason jars.

On Homestead Rescue, last night the show help a couple who could not use their property to homestead because it was mostly swamp.

Raney, dug a ditch much like in this video then added as much organic matter as they could find to the land as it was being drained.

Tree limbs, leaves, logs, scrape lumber, then on top of that they unrolled bales a hay to top the top of the soil.. Then the plan was to run cattle on that area.

Raney showed how he could now walk around that area  without sinking into the mud.

It is amazing what can be done with earth moving machines and organic matter.

My husband asked me if we had blankets.  Of course I have blankets.

He said we might have to sleep in recliners if the electricity goes out.

Do I know where the blankets are?  Yes, I know where the blankets are.

How much more snow do you expect to accumulate on tour roof?

What is the max you have seen it hold?

I feel that everything in nature is random.

There is never two of the same.

All my trees are random.

All of my grass is random.

All the rocks and cactus are randomly place here and there.
Maybe I missed this though having something to wrap the meat in would help.

Maybe an assembly line type affair.

One person lays the paper out.

Another person Puts the meat on the paper and another persom folds and seals the wrap.

Lastly, someone to put the meat to chill or freeze ...
