Biography
We manage a 40 acre wildlife area of the Texas Hill Country in the Edwards Plateau at about 3030 ft above sea level. The region is notable for its karst topography and tall rugged hills of limestone. The terrain throughout the region is punctuated by a thin layer of topsoil and a large number of exposed rocks and boulders, making the region very dry and prone to flash flooding. Native vegetation in the region includes various yucca, prickly pear cactus, native grasses and wildflowers. The predominant trees in the region are Ashe Juniper, Shin Oak and Texas Live Oak. Soil is alkaline consisting of caliche and clay.

I would use the jars for buttons and pins.

One of my money saving tips is to buy the $5.00 Rotisserie chicken at Sams Club as this is already cooked and beats a $5.00 or more whole raw chicken.

I put my coffee ground under the cedar trees because the grounds are a similar color to the cedar leaves buildup.

Hmm, that's a thought. I could double up the fabric on the thinner sheets, sew round the edges and turn inside out. It would also give a range of absorbancies if I did some single and some double thickness.

One worry with doubling the layers, is that the water won't get through it as easily in the washing machine. I found my prefolds (which had more than 2 layers) were more prone to ammonia build up than flat diapers.

I never had a problem with washing maybe because I always did presoak?

Add water, let it sit overnight and this makes a great fertilizer something similar to compost tea ...

This sounds like a great way to propagate new prickly pear cactus. Cut the cactus into pieces and put into a compost pile and each piece makes a new cactus.

My suggestion would be to not use urine on edibles.

Seems to me the compost pile might be okay if it gets hot.

Sounds like you might have a thermostat problem.

I assume you are talking about the burners and not the oven.

I have a solution for the oven though not for the burners.

Maybe try cooking on low.  I do this to keep from heating up the house.

My suggestion would be to contact the local vet/health dept and have the chickens tested.

It would be sad if this problem became a something county wide.

If you have cold/flu symptoms contact you local health care provider.
