Hi! Would love to talk to you about the opportunities here on our small certified organic farm in southwest mi! If you are still looking for a good place for you and your family please send me an email at lakebreezeorganics@gmail.com

We are a young homeschooling family. We have a successful farm business over 15 yrs now. We have 2 live on farm workers at the moment but are looking for more. We love to teach what we know to others with a passion for homestead/farm life!

We offer paid learning positions and private living quarters and have lots of options for additional income and long term relationships.

During our farming career we have started 3 homesteads. We know what it is to have little and slowly build to something great.

Hello everyone,

Here’s one burn remedy that I have not seen mentioned in this thread. A tincture made from St Johns Wort will soothe and heal burns. My wife makes a fresh batch each year.

Hope this helps

Hi Donanne,

I like your name and love your profile and pics. Your homestead sounds very pure and a long ways from the chaos of 2020. We have an organic farm similar in size to your homestead in Michigan. I feel like Michigan and Maine have a lot of things in common. You say that you are looking for a long term relationship. Since you didn’t say with whom is there any chance it could work with a couple ? We would be happy to correspond with and send you lots of pics. I imagine your growing season is almost over in Maine ? Greenhouse ? Even if you’re not interested I feel like we could be great friends. All the best to you and your daughters in the beautiful mountains of Maine. Chad 269 303 5557

We wish  we had a lot of time to write an in-depth profile like many have done and seem to do on these forums but we are super busy running our farms and can barely write this. Our little large farm has been in operation for 16 seasons now based in southwest Michigan. Over the years we have enjoyed a great deal of success. Always expanding we grow a wide variety of crops a number of different ways. Many many years of experience prior to starting the farm give us a unique perspective. Field crops, intensive greenhouse production 52 week, hugelkulture, and many more. We focus on quality specialty crops high in nutritional density. The two of us are passionate about growing the highest quality produce and have a reputation for doing so since 2007.
Briefly a little about the two of us.
My wife was born on an organic farm and has lived her entire life on one. Her father was a hippie organic consultant/farmer that taught her everything. She is a one of a kind natural beauty angelic and sweet in every way. She is loved by all. Workers, friends, customers, and people who just come for a brief visit. Always kind and considerate putting others before herself. She’s almost too good to be true but I’ve known her since 2006. Besides being the best person I have ever known she’s a superb organic farmer with problem solving abilities that truly amaze! She can do it all construction electrical plumbing. The two of us started out living in a cabin that I had just built. We continued to build three farms together and have been working on our homestead masterpiece since 2012. It’s in a special location and it’s coming together very nicely. About her physical looks she has
Blonde hair  blue eyes long hair always smiling and happy and never moody. She doesn’t use any drugs and will drink in extreme moderation but she is ok with others using 420 and drinking sensibly. She will blush but she is very beautiful. She’s 37 years old but definitely looks younger. She is kind and humble and would have never pursued this kind of relationship but one developed naturally with someone close to the farm. My wife has known about her bisexuality since she was a teenage but had decided it would be too difficult to explore it. This person over time developed a deep platonic relationship with us that eventually led to a physical one. Now after time has passed and she has moved far away to be closer to family we wonder if there’s a woman out there who wants this ?

Okay, here’s what I can say about my husband. He’s one of those super feeler guys with a sixth sense and a huge heart. He kindly takes care of everything and everyone on the farm. He’s as loyal as our spaniel and the most reliable man I have ever known. He has made our farm more successful than I could ever imagine. Our love and passion for produce has earned us a large following that we sell to year round. He’s a little older at 48 but he looks way younger than that and people are shocked to find out his age. He doesn’t drink but he’s 420 friendly and doesn’t mind if you drink.  I would love to meet someone who is interested in growing things especially flowers, herbs, and smaller specialty crops. I know it’s a long shot but I’m looking for someone with a spiritual connection to the land and nature that wants to join us. Someone who stress free that can enhance our energy together as three.

We are going to post pictures from the farm but not of ourselves. We would be more than happy to share all the personal pictures and things once we make contact with you. Really looking forward to possibly hearing back from someone who feels the same. I will post as many pics as I can tomorow need to go to bed. Sweet dreams everyone😘

Hey guys,

The best all around lettuce for the four season grower is skyphos from Johnnys. It’s a red and green butterhead that is adaptable to a number of conditions. We grow them all year round in Michigan. They performed the best of all heads in an unheated greenhouse. Other varieties over long periods of time in the winter will develop rot on the core but not Skyphos. It’s has exceptional texture, color, and flavor. We’ve grown just about every lettuce variety available and Skyphos is the all around best performer.
