I have 129 acres in north western maine mountains. I have been creating my homestead for 7 years. I am 50 yr old petite, strong and agile blonde woman . I have two teenage daughters. We live off grid with very little solar power and we strive to live sustainably in harmony with Nature. We grow big gardens and have chickens and bunnies. We have humanure toilets and quartz crystal pure spring water. We have built a little 850sq ft chalet and have an 481sq ft underground house . We live a mile from a paved rd near the white mt national forest. I am looking for my beloved to co create our space of love here in the wilderness.

Hello Donanne,

I miss the color of the fall leaves up there.  I also miss walking through the woods shuffling my feet through the leaves and hearing the russling sound they make.  I lived in Vermont for 16 years before going to texas where i am now.  I imagine your homestead is beautiful and so peaceful.  It would be great to learn more about you and i will share whatever you want to know. I am 56 was an engineer, became a licensed massage therapist and know i am attempting to be a farmer. Health and nutrition are my inspiration.

Cheers
Jeff

Donanne, something about your post makes me feel your the girl I've been longing for. I'm a 29 y/o Texan trying to get away from this heat and find the one I've been seeking. I like to think I'm a fairly attractive guy, and where I may not be so attractive I like to think my personality makes up for.  Hope my age doesn't scare you, I'm an old oak at heart. I've spent a few Winters in the upper peninsula sipping egg drop soup on a cold porch with my dog and I don't know if there's anything better....well maybe the company of someone who knows the joys of that sort of simplicity to share the days with.

I'm a great cook, can grow just about anything but would maybe need a teaching on the ins and outs of growing in your zone. Decent at hunting as well...at least down here in the south. Like to warn you though hunting is no easy thing emotionally for me and I'd hope the person I'm with can understand, maybe it's the bit of Indian in me( some people find it weird, it's a respect thing for me though, even with meats from a grocery) I've been told some of my dehydrated meals are better than cooking it fresh.

Please message me if you'd like to get to know each other better. I'd sure like to hear more about you.

Hi Donanne,

I like your name and love your profile and pics. Your homestead sounds very pure and a long ways from the chaos of 2020. We have an organic farm similar in size to your homestead in Michigan. I feel like Michigan and Maine have a lot of things in common. You say that you are looking for a long term relationship. Since you didn’t say with whom is there any chance it could work with a couple ? We would be happy to correspond with and send you lots of pics. I imagine your growing season is almost over in Maine ? Greenhouse ? Even if you’re not interested I feel like we could be great friends. All the best to you and your daughters in the beautiful mountains of Maine. Chad 269 303 5557

Hi Donanne
I’m just now seeing your message.  I am a 31 year old male.  Very good looking, honest and skillful. Are you still in search of your one and truly?  I also own a couple hundred acres in Maine, Pelham.  I live alone with my dog and ferret babies.  Get back to me if you are still in search of a knowledgeable companion

Hi I know this is going to seem a little unorthodox but I am a single woman that is sick of living life I'm just sick of it I have two small Chihuahuas and I'm actually looking for someone that is willing to let me live on your property all I want to do is get away from this life that has been so bad for me I was very abused as a child abused as a teenager abused as an adult and I finally broke away from that and I'm 53 years old I just want to place to go and to live with my babies and just be me I don't need much and I have a little money saved that I can pay my cell phone bill at least I have sources for food and I'm buying a tent I know that a tent is not a suspicious place to live forever but however I am learning to build makeshift places and I know that the woods provide me with plenty of things to build a stable place I will not bother nobody nor will I seek anybody to come and see me or any of that I am just want to be alone with my babies I'm scared to death that somebody is going to hurt one of my babies or myself because I was locked away for so long meaning that my father locked me away for many many years and I just now comes to grip with that and I have a social disorder I guess where I'm just scared of people and scared of what they might do to me anyways I'm sorry I don't mean to give you a sad story I just really need to find somewhere to go

Hi
I am in Massachusetts, very fit 65 year old, willing to do my part and contribute. I have been to the White Mountains and Maine many times and New England is so beautiful. I am sure that you have many responses and i do not envy you with trying to figure out what is best, but I am easy going, family orientated and would love to live off grid, away from all the negativity. Hidden away in the beautiful mountains, and in Love is a dream

Posted 6 years ago. I see these older posts and wonder how the homestead is coming along and wonder about the adventures in meeting people or persons who want this lifestyle. I have found it difficult even frustrating to meet like minded individuals.
Hope to hear back and hear about all your adventures.
