The Permaculture Technology Jamboree 2023 was a resounding success! The Wheaton Labs community, in collaboration with expert instructors and enthusiastic attendees, created innovative artifacts that are redefining the potential of what a permaculture perspective can offer humanity—surpassing the expectations set by past events.
Designed by Kyle Alister and Paul Wheaton, the Roundwood Log Picnic Table 3.0 exemplifies the concept of “pure wood” carpentry. This innovative approach relies entirely on precise joinery, using gravity to lock its massive wooden components into place without any screws, nails, or glue. The result is a sturdy, elegant design that highlights the beauty and strength of natural timber while honoring traditional woodworking techniques.
