This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Traditional Skills.

As we travel through the world we often want to carry stuff with us.  When your hands aren't enough, it's time to build something to help.  Let's make a tray!

Here's one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a tray from natural materials
  - Bigger than a 12" diameter circle
  - Can't be flat
      - Either needs a shallow rim or a faint bowl shape
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - Some of the materials you're starting with
  - Tray under construction
  - Finished tray showing size
  - Show that it isn't flat

Think of how dumb the average person is. Mathematically, half of them are EVEN DUMBER. Smart tiny ad:
