Rushlights - PEM BB traditional.sand.rushlights

This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Traditional Skills.

In a cold climate it sometimes gets dark before you're done using the light.  Let's try our hand at making rushlights!

 
 

Here's one way to do it:


Minimum requirements:
  - Make 12 rushlights
  - 8" or longer in length
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - Your beeswax or combustable fat
  - Wicks ready to dip
  - Midway through making the candles
  - Finished candles showing length
