With winter on the way and the Montana Department of Livestock wanting to kill hundreds--if not thousands--of buffalo when they migrate out of Yellowstone in the coming months it is crucial that local residents speak and act with a strong and unified voice.

We are writing to invite you to be a part of a Missoula-area group we are putting together to catalyze local action and support for the buffalo and Buffalo Field Campaign (BFC).  While BFC has many supporters in the area, it is time to reinvigorate and mobilize the Missoula community.

If you are interested in joining with us, at any level, to plan events, fundraisers, and trips to Yellowstone, please email Blake <blakenico@gmail.com>.

We will be holding several lead-up events in Missoula in order to build momentum for a larger, community-wide fundraiser.  Once we know who is interested we will hold meetings where you can let us know how you can help and we can get rolling.  Our first such meeting will take place Monday, September 26 at 7:00 PM downtown at Flathead Lake Brewery, 424 N. Higgins Ave.  We hope to see you there!

For the Buffalo,

Dan Brister and Mike Mease
