Hello everyone! I'm DeeDee
I am 37F, divorced, and my only child is 18 and off to school. The coming years i have been contemplating the life i wanted to live and came to the realization that i would prefer to live tiny, as a minimalist, return to nature, and possibly join efforts of an egalitarian,
intentional community. This is a far-fetched, "hippie" idea, according to my family, but I really feel like the big
city is making me mentally and physically sick. I have very little
experience in "roughing it" but what i lack in experience, I make up for with strength, determination, and intelligence.
I have worked in customer service/office administration for 20 years, with a degree in business management and left my job this year to be a part-time virtual assistant and continue studying business while I travel and gain some new skills.
Currently, I am backpacking through Europe as an au pair via Workaway but when I return to the states in September 2019, I hope to do a work-exchange with a community on the west coastwhere I can do work in exchange for room/board from September to February 2020. I am a great houseguest, I cook, clean, and so far can manage some laborious jobs. I am learning more about conservation, veganism,
permaculture, wine-making, and more.
I apologize if this is inappropriate for this forum but I am trying to get creative here and reach ranches/farms in the west coast states that are interested in teaching me permaculture/community skills.
In the end, I hope to own my own small piece of
land, live off of/give back to the land, and create a small community there for others who are guided by love.
If you or someone you know is in need of two extra hands this fall, please contact me. Thank you.
