While reading Elegant Simplicity, this story of Jo Berry and Patrick MCGee was told as an example of forgiveness, and I wanted to look into this more. I think their tale is overwhelmingly amazing. I find this has some political ramifications, as well, but to keep my thoughts on that short- this kind of story is part of why I vehemently oppose the death penalty of anyone, no matter how bad their crimes have been.
