Hello all!

I have recently been to the beautiful state of Maine! I see a lot of people homestead there and I ask you where you are, do you work and if so how far. Is where you are good for homesteading or are there drawbacks?

I had already planned to be in Aroostook county no more than an hour from Presque Isle. I need to be near a place that has some form of enployment and thought being close to Presque Isle would be good. But I'm curious to see what others think of my choice besides the cold and snow. TIA!

Hi Wanda. Welcome to permies. Added your post to the eastern USA forum for potentially more replies. I hope that helps. Good luck!
