Hi, just setting up my profile photos. Can you recommend to me the best way to do this. I have photos on Amazon Drive and have tried to use that link but it doesn't appear to work here. Thanks.

The amazon drive link you provided does not work because it is not really an image - it's web page that displays an image within it. For permies profile picture and cover picture, you need a functioning direct image link.  I did a bit of a research and couldn't find a way to hotlink an image from amazon drive.

If you can just attach your photo to this thread (click the "attachment" tab when you reply to this thread), you can then obtain a direct link to the image and use it as your profile picture.

Hi Ms Cooray,

Thanks for taking the trouble of checking it out.  Just uploaded a pic here thanks.  I did try the directions of the permies post supplied here to add cover and profile pics by uploaded it somewhere else on the permies site then adding link but that didn't work either (eg. https://permies.com/wiki/116966/Cider-Apple-Indulgence-Pics ). It is interesting that my profile pic came onto here from my gravatar ! and I have been able to alter that pic by changing my gravatar with ZERO links on my profile page... just bringing that to your attention. Best
