..some people would say stink and not aroma :)  I am almost ready to get off of a medicine I am taking for a blood clot in my leg.  I want to start taking some natural blood thinning products as I wean off of the medicine and garlic is number one on my list.  There are other products - turmeric is high on the list also - but I love to eat garlic, so there are a multitude of reasons for pursuing it.  As the saying goes, no man is an island, and also given the fact that I am a teacher, I want to be sensitive to those who have to work in close quarters with me.  I have read that soaking it in vinegar (pickling it) will greatly reduce the smell.  Are there other options?  Will a steam room force your body to sweat it out?  It seems to be more than a "breath" thing.  Open to almost any ideas...

Do you know if the garlic aroma is the medicinal compound you actually to keep? Not that you end up with a non-smelling and non-working medicine.

My understanding the main beneficial component of garlic is what exudes from the skin after digesting the garlic. One thing I’ve seen is soaking in a cool Epsom salts bath or frequent showers if you sweat. Of course the main, more immediate issue w/ garlic odor is on your breath and that is easy to alleviate. Tongue scraping is an often overlooked method of eliminating bad breath. The classic method is to chew on a coffee bean seems to help, chewing fennel is also suggested.

Eating a sprig of fresh parsley helps to minimise the garlic smell on your breath.

Cat talks about fish. Like it needs a fix. This tiny ad told me to never say "fix" to a cat person:
