ai told me to make leaf towers, it told me to make 3 foot wide by 3 foot high circles out if chicken wire, I got as close as I could with what I found around the property, I have them both connected to a tpost in the middle, but I need to try and staple down the other ends so they don't move, I fill a chopped in half rain barrel half high with leaves and then spin a weed whacker in the barrel to mulch them, and pour into my tower, ai said to wet it after each layer, and ai said it should decompose within 6-12 months if its mulched as opposed to years if left whole

I just made these yesterday that's why one is empty and one only has three inches of mulch, collecting leaves is hard here due to the amount of sticks, I try to include as little sticks as possible

I may keep an eye out for bags of leaves at the curb, people are raking this time of year, I have all the leaves I could use already on my property, but like I said the sticks make collecting difficult, once I finish clearing this area I'll rake the sticks, next fall I should be able to collect the leaves easier

What's the best way to use this leaf litter? Should I mid it 50/50 with my wood chips to spread around my fruit trees?

Alex, welcome to the forum!

That property looks like there might be some incredible leaf mold made by mother nature laying under those leaves just waiting to be found.

Brush or rake the leaves back and look for black gold.
