I bought some Kerr jars and noticed they changed the design of the wide mouth lids a little. There is now a secondary dimple in the middle of the lid. I have never noticed that before. I canned a bunch of tomato sauce yesterday, and the main portion of the lid sealed down tight, but some of those small interior dimples didn't seal.
Do I need to put new lids on and re-process, or am I ok?
The dimple is supposed to be depressed when a vacuum is created. Your jars may not be totally sealed - perhaps there was still some juice on the rims when you put the lids on. If you can pop the dimple, set aside those jars to use first.
I went back and pulled off all my bands. I did the lid tap test and a few of them pinged like they weren't tight. So I decided to give all them the finger pull to see if I could get the lids off. I ended up reprocessing 22 of 54 jars. I think I tightened my first batch too much. That's where the majority of my weak seals were. I had two lids in that first batch that buckled upward, so that was likely it.
The second time through I got 100% tight seals and all is well again. I also marked those twice processed jars to see if there is gonna be a noticeable difference in quality. Hope it isn't too bad.
