i have about 500 ft of a shallow creek running through my property that the ducks love......of course as opposed to the easy nearly flat access points they like the 70 degree slopes for access. Was thinking about just putting a wood ramp like one for a raised chicken coop at the spots they use most. Any better ideas? putting big plants will just move the problem. I figure the wood will at least block the erosion???
Thanks
A string of stones laid on countour, like a swale is on countour, will catch topsoil and rain and seeds. Then things sprout and hold the soil down. Sure the ducks will trample a little of it down, but probably not in a straight enough line to continue pandering to erosion's wiles.
