I just meet someone who who produces hydrosols, and after asking her about the process, I showed her a diagram of a steam juicer.
She noted that a steam juicer passes the condensate back through the organic material, where as the hydrosol still does not.
She wasn't sure what to think if this difference.
Either process might leave the stems in place, rather than separating them out.
Separating stems from Elderberry is kind of labor intensive, so these firms of processing seem useful.
Is stem juicing a good way to process elderberry?
What about hydrosol distillation?
If either are good, can the stems be included in the process?
