Just not having the best of time finding anything on the web for finding licorice roots to plant and grow. I've found several places for seeds like this one.

Now, I'm not at all referring to anise, star anise, or fennel either as folks tend to drift the topic always to that realm.
Licorice also goes by the name Spanish Licorice. It was used to successfully to treat and stop all influenzas, the Spanish Flu 1918 and the Hong Kong flu 1960. In 2003, the Germans were able to stop the SARS 2003 with it.

It's one thing I would really like to have in my herbal garden in pots as my zone is slightly amiss during the winter season to keep it outside all year long.
With wheat allergies, I've found Black Licorice Rice in my local food store that is really good vs. the junkie Twizzlers. As a kid growing up, the local candy store had the licorice penny candy back in the day too. I sure miss that. Additionally in herbal teas, I can savor the healthy benefit flavor during flu season as well and be a kid again. Maybe in my mind, not in the old bones.
There are plenty of sites that talk about growing it, just haven't found a site selling young roots other than the seeds.
Anyone have a source and have grown Spanish Licorice Root?
