You can google this if you like.  Try QPM (Quality Protein Maize)   Apparently a few decades ago universities  finangled with corn to create a SUPER CORN   with meat equivalent quality protein for Sub Saharan Africa.
The two amino acids normally missing in regular corn are present in this super corn.

Since finding out about this I would like better nutrition also  and would love to obtain and grow some of this.    Incidentially I remember that this was done through natural
breeding without GMO techniques.

Where can I obtain seeds for this ?

These guys seem to have it:

https://www.cimmyt.org/resources/seed-request/

Check out the rest of  their website to see what their goals are, and if you can help them,  so the will help you.
You might need to be deemed a researcher to get some.

This link zeros right in on the QPM use.    There is also mention of assistance by a  USA organization.

https://www.cimmyt.org/news/pakistan-releases-first-quality-protein-maize-varieties/

It the yield is greater and the nutrition is better.  The only reason I can think of as to why we arent using it in the USA ....
is it must TASTE TERRIBLE    but that would not explain it not being used to feed livestock ? ? ?
